Dvin Hotel: Yerevan, 1979
Автор: ARMYAN Studio
Dvin Hotel is our note on a 1979 Yerevan landmark. People in the city already know the building by name and by outline. We did not try to write a history of every year it has stood. We started from what the landmark gives a clothing studio: a silhouette, a date on the graphic, and a sense of place that still belongs to Yerevan.
Armenian architecture and cultural memory are part of how ARMYAN designs clothes, not a caption added after the fact. The Dvin Hotel Heritage T-Shirt keeps an architectural sketch on the front — enough of the building to read as Dvin — and lets the full heritage graphic live on the back, with the hotel drawing and the line Yerevan, 1979. The cotton is beige or burgundy, and it is made in Armenia.
That choice of subject is the same instinct as the rest of the heritage line: take a place that already lives in the city, draw it with enough care that it is not a generic print, and cut it as a tee someone can wear on an ordinary day. We are not claiming more history than the clothes can carry. The fact we work from is the one already on the garment: Dvin Hotel, Yerevan, 1979.
ARMYAN is an Armenian clothing and streetwear brand from Yerevan. The studio designs here. Silhouettes, fabrics, and artworks are decided in this city rather than printed onto a generic blank somewhere else. On the pieces where we state it, production stays in Armenia. The brand exists to put Armenian identity into contemporary clothes — T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, joggers, and caps — for how people actually dress, in Yerevan and beyond.
Yerevan is not a backdrop we mention once and forget. It is where the cuts are decided and where a heritage graphic has to make sense on a body in motion. Dvin Hotel belongs in that set of city references: a 1979 landmark that can live on cotton without asking the wearer to perform history. The front stays an architectural sketch. The back carries the full scene. That is the whole design argument.
Heritage and modern Armenian streetwear only hold together if the clothes stay clothes. A hotel on the back of a tee still has to move like a tee. The Dvin Hotel piece is midweight jersey with a relaxed fit. It is clean enough for daily wear and strong enough to read as Armenian streetwear rather than a souvenir. Wash it cold. We keep runs intentionally limited. If your size is sold out, check back for restocks and new drops.
The same artwork exists in two colors. The burgundy Dvin Hotel Heritage T-Shirt is the deeper ground for the back print — the version many people recognize first from campaign images. The beige Dvin Hotel Heritage T-Shirt is the lighter read of the same architectural front sketch and full Dvin back graphic. Both are cotton, both are made in Armenia, and both belong to the same limited run.
If you are choosing a shirt rather than reading a studio note, Dvin sits with the rest of the T-shirts in the shop: other heritage graphics, quieter signature shirts, and the everyday cuts around them. It is not a separate souvenir line. It is one chapter in a Yerevan collection.
For the wider story of the brand in the city — how ARMYAN started as a studio practice, how heritage and street sit in the same wardrobe, and where to find the clothes in Yerevan — read Armenian clothing in Yerevan. This page is only the Dvin Hotel chapter: a 1979 landmark, drawn for the street, made to be worn.
